Back to Our Regularly Scheduled Program
After a brief hiatus I am now back to my normal schedule of daily posts between now and Christmas.
Before I get too far, I want to remind you all that the next Points of View Photo Project will be posted this Friday. If you would like to participate, and it’s open to everyone, please head over and grab the source image for this week. All you have to do is download it, process it, and send it back to me at firstname.lastname@example.org by Thursday at around 8pm (Eastern) so I can include it in the gallery with the other contributors from across the country and around the world.
Now that I’ve got that out of the way…I had a fairly productive time this past week. I didn’t get any shooting done but I did take some time to do some brainstorming and emailing to see how I might move forward with some things.
I, first, have contacted a few different video training providers – both online and DVD-based – to express my interest in pursuing that avenue of Photoshop Education. In that same vain, I am in the early planning stages of producing my own Photoshop Tutorial DVD with tips and techniques for both beginners and intermediate users (I will have a survey posted tomorrow about to get some info and ideas from you guys). And, I am still working on a few ideas for both online and in-person Photoshop Workshops.
I have also contacted a publisher of a number of Photoshop Magazines based in the UK to potential write for one or more of them, focusing on either tutorials or concepts of digital photography and visual storytelling.
I haven’t received any word back, as of yet, but I am hopeful that I am moving in the right direction and that some of these ideas will pan out and turn into something serious for me.
If anyone out there has suggestions of who else I might contact or you have any leads or ideas that might be viable, please contact me.
