October 2010 Photo Contest

Jason D. Moore's Monthly Photo Contests

After an extended break from the regular monthly photo contests I’m back with another fun one for you! With a great prize coming from one of our awesome Friends-of-the-Blog, NAPP!

For those of you that may not be as familiar with how my contests work, here’s a quick rundown of how we do things:

I’m waiting to hear if NAPP is going to open the prize up to entries from outside the US but, other than that possible restriction, anyone can enter! Whether you are young or old, a hobbyist or a seasoned pro, I want to be sure that as many people as possible can participate and join in the fun of sharing their images in this community!

UPDATE: NAPP has asked that the contest be only open to North America. Sorry, everyone else. I am always open to contest sponsors who are from outside the US and those who are willing to ship outside the US/North America. Please contact me if you are interested.

There are no topics or themes to adhere to. You are free to submit any photo you like as long as it is your own original work. It doesn’t necessarily have to be a recent shot, but it shouldn’t be an image you’ve previously entered into one of my contests. Everyone who enters can submit up to 3 photos
to our October Photo Contest.

You have until around midnight (Eastern) on Sunday October 31st, 2010 to enter your photo(s). An announcement of the winner and any honorable mentions will be made during the following week.

Our potential as-yet-to-be-confirmed guest judge, the creator of the prize, or I will select the best photo from those entered based on his own judgement and opinion. The judge’s decision is final.

I can’t announce the specific prize quite yet because NAPP hasn’t even announced it yet, and I don’t want to scoop them. But, believe me that it’s going to be a great prize, especially for newcomers to Photoshop – though there will be something for everyone in there as well, I’m sure.

UPDATE: The prize will be a signed copy of Layers: The Complete Guide to Photoshop’s Most Powerful Feature, 2nd Edition by Matt Kloskowski.

So, get your shots together and enter today!
