This episode is all about pricing. We talk about the “Pick 2″ rule where you can get it fast, cheap, or good – but you can’t have all three at the same time. We also touch on setting your prices to reflect the real value/worth of your work and that you always need to stick to your rates so that you aren’t cheating yourself out of a living.

Welcome to the new and improved www.JasonDMoore.com!
After a lot of reflection, self-examination, and hard work I am pleased to relaunch my website with a new-found sense of direction and drive. I am being much more intentional about focusing on my graphic and web design work and how I go about offering those services to individuals, businesses and not-for-profit organizations as I move forward with my freelancing.
This has been a special month for the photo contest here on the blog. Not only did I have the good fortune to team up with NAPP to get a sweet prize from my friend Matt Kloskowski, Matt served as our guest judge this go ’round! Thank you to everyone over at NAPP for the generous donation of the prize and a huge thank you to Matt for taking the time to go through and judge this month’s entries!
I know it was a hard decision, as it always is, because my readers can come up with some amazing photos. Even there could only be one winner, I want to congratulate all of those who submitted photos on some truly great work!
So, without further ado, the winner of a signed copy of Matt’s new book, Layers: The Complete Guide to Photoshop’s Most Powerful Feature, Second Edition is:

For those of you that may not be as familiar with how my contests work, here’s a quick rundown of how we do things:
As today is the deadline for entering the Next Photoshop Evangelist Contest, I thought I would share my entry with all of you. If you’ve been following me on my Jason D. Moore Photography Facebook Page or on Twitter, you’ve seen me post this before.
Each video has to be no more than two minutes (check!), use Photoshop CS5 (check!), teach one of the new features in CS5 (check!), and incorporate the concept of “20″ in the final image to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Photoshop (check!).
Once they have all the entries, the judges will be weeding out the videos that don’t fit the criteria and select up to 12 finalists. At that point, between September 8th-20th, voting will open up to the Photoshop Facebook Community and the video with the highest number of votes wins.
Well, it’s been a great summer for the 2010 BIG Photo Contest and I’ve been greatly impressed with the entries submitted! I am thrilled by the response again this year with so many beautiful shots shared. Great job to every one of you for your hard work and vision. I love that you made it so hard for me to make my selections!
I would also like to send out a huge ‘thank you’ to my sponsors who have been so supportive in donating the prizes for the winners. Please take some time to visit their sites and check out what they have to offer. They are some great companies with great products and services. Thank You to Mpix, onOne Software, Photoshop Cafe, and IGT America!
And now, without further ado, the winners of the 2010 BIG Photo Contest are…
Please excuse the inconsistent posting lately. Liam and Kim have been my focus lately – as they should be! – and the blog has been taking a back seat as I work on developing a routine to keep it going.
To that end, I’ve setup a Jason D. Moore Photography Fan Page on Facebook where I’ll be posting my updates rather than through my personal profile. In August I will be cleaning out my Friends list in my personal account to include only friends and family. So if you have connected with me on Facebook and haven’t done so already, please head over to the fan page and “Like” it so you can keep up to date with everything going on with Jason D. Moore Photography. You can also follow me on Twitter @JasonDMoore.

Though I’m not back to my regular schedule quite yet, it is time to look at the results of the April Photo Contest!
I’d like to start off by thanking our guest judge, last month’s winner Victoria Pickering, for helping me select the images this time around. I would also like to extend a special thank you to Mpix for sponsoring this month’s prize – a 24×36 Canvas Gallery Wrap. Thank You!
And now, on to the results!
That’s right, it’s that time again to take a look at the excellent images produced by our very talented readers out there! Joining me as a guest judge in our latest Monthly Photo Contest was our February winner, Eduardo Ponce. Thank you, Eduardo for your time to review all of the entries and for your thoughtful comments on the winning photo! Stop by Eduardo’s Flickr Photostream to see more of his great work.
Now, before I get to the results from this month, I am excited to share with you that our friends over at Mpix have done it again! In addition to the deals that will be coming all month long exclusively for my readers, and the series of reviews that I will be posting about some of their amazing products, Mpix will be capping it all off with the prize for the winner of the April Photo Contest! Read on to the bottom of the post to find out just what it will be!
But first, the winner of the March Photo Contest is…
