"How Lucky Am I!" (10-1-99) As the night rises on the tail of twilight I kiss the beauteous creature by my side; And I think to myself, "How lucky am I!" This one, this ONLY one, is my heart's true desire, My soul's singular need. Her love traverses all distances, Breaks down all walls, It holds me always! Where did she come from, this love of mine? From what region could such perfection be? Only heaven could've created such an angelic being - This goddess keeping watch over my heart! How could one so out-cast and denied Find love abundant from such a wonderful giver? Was a lottery won? A gamble lucky? Or just a twist of fate? This love of mine can only be true; it was meant to be! As I lay here in the grass thinking I see the glorious morn arrive. Was I dreaming of this beauty, This amazing creature, The love by my side? Nope, she's real! How lucky am I!!!
