Raindrops fall everywhere
And the sun rises too
The stars twinkle in the sky
And the birds sing their happy tune.
The moon shines in the evening
And even in the morn
The clouds float by so slowly
All watching as love is born.
Even though you are way off
Beyond my range of sight
You're in my heart and I hold you close
'Till the distance is made slight.
The pain that comes with loneliness
And being oh, so far
Is eased by one small beautiful thought:
That we wish on the very same star.
