The Space Between 12/22/04 On the path between the “known” and the “unknown,” The path between the “now” and the “yet to be,” In the space between anxiety and rest, The space between uncertainty and faith, There is a love beyond my consciousness That guides me. Between my fear and my hope… Between my wholeness and my longing… Between my questions and their answers… Between my struggles and peace… There is a stillness, A quietness that covers me. I know not what will come, Nor who I will be, But I am carried with the arms of love And I am not afraid. As I consider this time, And the meaning of these moments, I lift my face to the heavens With a gaze of wonder and awe, And I open myself to the possibilities Of what may lie in the space between.
